Beginning Weaving


Joan Contraman - Class fee: $125

 

Saturday, February 2, 9th, March 2 - 9am-4pm - OFF SITE LOCAL


This class teaches students to weave cloth on a four-harness loom. Whether you want to make rugs, tea towels or clothing, this class is for you!



Design a Hat: Birds and Beasts

Design your own hat using the recipe method: choosing your own colors, brim, body and crown styles from a set of bird and animal options.

Come learn how to make your very own beautiful rug. This rug is made from strips of fabric. Have fun picking colors to go with your home décor.

Felted Knitting Bag

Knit this messenger style bag with a band of Jacquard Animal print on the body and closure flap…then felt the bag.

New Skill will be working with the Jacquard chart pattern.



Basic Knitting 101 Esther’s Style (repeat)


Esther Beckwith - Beginning - $55

 

Tuesdays, February 12,19,26, March 5,12 - 1:15pm-3:15pm


You will create a cap, learning how to join in the round working with circular needles, choose a type of brim- i.e. ribs, roll or seed stitch, using double points to finish off the top of your cap. You will then learn how to make arm warmers using color work. This is a precursor to knitting socks or mittens.



Celtic Sweater

This beautiful sweater has come from the Shetland Islands.  The Celtic motif surrounds below the arms and can be as long as you like.  The unique neckline and collar as well as the front bands with the buttons set it apart from other sweaters.

Waiting for Rain is a lovely garter and lace crescent shawl that uses an unusual short row lace technique. It fits perfectly over your shoulders and drapes in a way which is very pleasing to the eye. It’s worked top down with lacey increases.
